Once you register and verify your domain(s), Google will show you how it "sees" your sites. Specifically, it will give you

1. A detailed list of pages that it failed to spider (either because the page doesn't exist or because the site was down),

2. A list of keywords for which your site has appeared in Google's organic search results

3. The number of pages Google has indexed in your site

4. Other sites that Google recognizes as linking to your site

... and a whole lot more. Using Google's webmaster tools, you can stop guessing what Google thinks of your site. More importantly, you can use this information to make valuable modifications to bring your site into compliance with Google's standards. Its a Good
Idea to check the site once in a while.
